Twitter = My Source of Daily Education

I never thought I’d be one of those people who liked Twitter. It took me a long time to get on that band-wagon but now that I’m in it, I can actually see it’s usefulness. Every morning, I come into the office, log in and check my emails. My next step is always to open up my twitter account and check out what people have tweeted about. Since I follow cool people (and companies) there’s always something up.

Smashing Magazine is always tweeting about one cool link or another. Bitchwhocodes always has some wickedly biting comment that puts a smile on my face. SignalnoiseArt’s tweets are hilarious and I always look forward to what he has to say; not to mention the tweets my friends create! Twitter has become a way for me to catch a glimpse of peoples’ online lives: what their interests are, what they’re checking out, what they think is cool. And they share it freely!

I used to think Twitter was just another Facebook status updater, but it’s become much more than that to me. It’s become a forum where I learn from the best of the best.  The links Smashing Magazine (among others) tweets about keep me up to date on the happenings of the web industry. I get a daily dose of knowledge sent to me on a minute by minute basis. And I think that’s wicked.

Today’s lesson: Is your artwork ready for print? Great article on the basics of print design. Thanks SM!
